Broadly, I write on atrocity crimes, cyberspace, information warfare, digital deception, and ethics.

My book project, Algorithms & Atrocities, examines how cyber-operations, social media, and (generative-)AI has been used to perpetrate mass atrocities, and how such technologies might help prevent such crimes. I focus on the viability and ethics of (what I call) 'cyber humanitarian interventions'.

I'm from Meanjin (Brisbane, Australia), and have lived on Gadigal Lands (Sydney) and Ngambri and Ngunnawal lands (Canberra).

During my PhD I was a Research Consultant (for the Institute for Ethics, Law and Armed Conflict) and a Visiting Fellow (supported by the Australian Federation of Graduate Women's Barbara Hale Award) at the University of Oxford.

I was also a Visiting Fellow at the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (supported by NATO CCDCOE) and a
Postdoctoral Fellow at the Australian National University.

I completed my PhD from without revisions required (highest distinction) in December 2021 (UNSW). My research has received awards including the Frances V. Harbour Award (International Ethics Section, ISA),
Ria de Root Award (UNSW), Leo Mahoney Award (RUSI-Australia), and Dean's PhD Prize (UNSW).
